Quinn!

Meet Quinn! Quinn is a very handsome, big boy around 5 years old and about 80 lbs and assumed to be a Shepherd/Hound mix. He might be a little timid at first, but he warms up very quickly! He is such a sweet and smart dog, he is not much of a barker, not destructive and really would just love a family to spoil him!  He loves to sleep and cuddle, but also gets spurts of energy for walks/runs or playtime. He gets along great with clam animals and as mentioned, once he meets you and sees your love for him, he'll fall in love with you right back!

Number of Days Waiting:
Quinn has been at a the rescue facility since January 2021, and in Sept 2022 he went into his foster home. He currently lives with 2 cats and a small dog and is doing great!

His Story:
We are unsure of Quinn's background, but we know he was picked us as a stray in Quinlan, TX, hence the name Quinn! Quinlan is a small rural Texas town, so thankfully they were able to catch him and take him straight to the vet to get checked out. He was very skinny and scared when first captured and had to have surgery to remove a bullet from his side. After some months of healing, Quinn was feeling better, but then had to undergo more surgery in 2022 to have scar tissue  (we assume from a possible animal attack when he was a stray) build up removed from under his eye. He's all better now and ready for adoption!

His Needs:  Quinn would do great with in a calm home with out too much noise and loud energy. Also as mentioned, he gets spurts of energy so we'd love to find him an active owner or another big dog to play with.
-Good with other calm dogs, ideally we'd like to find him another clam dog to play with. He does really well with females.
-Good with cats
-Appears to be good with all people, might do best in a home with older children though since he needs to be in a calmer environment.

Expected Costs:  He is fixed and up to date on shots.  Only other costs to expect are the normal monthly prevention medication, food and treats, etc.
