Meet Molly! She is a lovable 6 year old pit mix who will melt your heart! When she was first rescued, her allergies had really effected her skin, but now that she's on her medication, she's much happier and healthier! This girl loves to go on walks and is great on a leash, but she also loves to take many afternoon naps! She is a sweetheart that the shelter staff and her Foster Mom adore!

Number of Days Up For Adoption: Molly had spent time in a local animal shelter, and was pulled by Animal Advocates of North Texas in April 2020 and has been in foster care since.

Her Story: We aren't sure how Molly spent the first years of her life, but thankfully she was pulled from the shelter when her skin was in bad shape due to her allergies. She is doing much better now at the hands of her Foster Mom who gives her lots of love and attention. We are looking for a home or a new foster for her as her foster mom will no longer be able to care for her.

Her Needs: Molly is a sweetheart and likes to choose her doggy friends, she could also do well as the only pet!
- She is selective with her dog friends, a proper introduction would be necessary.  Might do best with a male companion.
- Not tested with cats
- Good with all people including children

Expected Costs: Molly is up to date on shots, fixed and microchipped. She is also heartworm negative.  As mentioned, she'll need Apoquel and Temaril P for her allergies which cost roughly $150 over 7 weeks. She also needs a specific food which runs about $55 to keep her happy.

About us

We are an animal advocacy group focusing on "harder-to-adopt" and "long-stay" rescue animals in the DFW area. These animals have been at a shelter, rescue or in foster care longer than the average animal and are often overlooked. We help find them that perfect furrever home!
